RV Resort Communities and the Benefits to the Vacationer

Oregon is a majestic state, filled with overwhelming forests, snow-capped mountains, and a breathtaking ocean coast. There’s so much geographic and biodiversity that it would take years to see it all. In addition, Oregon has some truly unique attractions including the venerable Willamette Valley perfect for wine tours, the cultural appeal of Portland, and the number of quaint towns that dot the state. It is no surprise then to find a number of residents and visitors wanting to experience the full breath of Oregon by traveling by RV and sight-seeing from the comfort of first-class RV resorts.

In visiting different RV resorts, a traveler gets the best of both worlds: the ability to see all of Oregon’s wonders and a luxurious park to stay at ideal for day-trips. Most RV communities are located in perfect locations for the RV vacationer. These parks are situated in some of Oregon’s most magnificent natural surroundings, with rolling hills and vineyards all around. These RV resorts are located close to major transportation routes for easy access and give the vacationer the ability to make multiple daytrips to different attractions, be it the museums and restaurants of the cities or the sprawling cliffs of the Oregon Coast.

On the other hand, RV communities give you the amenities that are simply not possible with camping. First-class RV parks have reliable electric and water hook ups for your comfort. There are also a number of park amenities that will keep any family busy, including tennis and basketball courts, swimming pools, internet access, and community centers for meeting fellow travelers.

While RV parks in Oregon have all the amenities you do not get with camping, they come at a fraction of the price of a hotel room. Pets are welcome in most RV resorts so that your companion can enjoy any vacation with the family. Additionally, recreation vehicles have evolved to the point where they are essentially travelling five-star hotel rooms. In visiting Oregon’s RV resorts, any vacationer gets to enjoy the full experience in traveling but without the hassle and conditions of camping.

With the ability to enjoy the comforts of home while nonetheless fully experiencing the open road, traveling by RV is the way to vacation. RV parks in Oregon give you the ability to experience everything, with full amenities, and at an affordable price. Essentially, then, it is a win-win proposition. During these trips and stays at RV resorts, the only thing a traveler has to worry about is kicking back, relaxing, and enjoying the bounty of Oregon.

Recreation Vehicle Parks and the Amenities they Offer

Recreation vehicles have been and remain a prominent form of transportation in order to vacation and see the vastness of our country. RVs give you the freedom to move about every so often and yet they also provide a standard of luxury that one would not get with camping. Of course, one typically cannot park there RV just anywhere. Most jurisdictions require that RV vehicles stay in designated RV parks. With a variety of parks to choose from, the RV owner just starting out doesn’t know the amenities that differentiate truly great parks from your run-of-the-mill parks. Amongst other things, a check list of amenities and conditions should help you stay in only the best RV parks America has to offer.

It may seem fairly obvious, but the first thing to check for it always the electric and water hookups. The vast majority of parks today have easily configured water and electric hookups to provide your RV with the basic amenities. Of course, this being the 21st Century, most RV owners expect more than simply water and electric. The most luxurious RV resorts will typically have free Wi-Fi and Cable. These amenities should keep you entertained no matter the season or weather.

One additionally has to pay attention to the actual quality of the park. Does the park exhibit beautiful landscaping? Is there a modern playground for your children? Is there a pool for when you are traveling in the summer? A truly world-class RV park will have all of these amenities in addition to laundry facilities, restroom/shower facilities, sports features (tennis court, basketball court) and more. Another thing to notice is whether or not the park managers live on-site.

While paying attention to the park itself is a must, the same can also be said about the exact location of the recreation vehicle park. Owning a RV gives you a freedom to see sites and parts of the country not normally visited. Consequently, the park should be located relatively close to attractions and, hopefully, a flourishing town. In addition to downtown shopping and restaurant options, there should be a pleathora of health care providers as well as RV service providers in the area.

Travelling around the country in your RV can be some of the greatest fun you and your family have and, yet, one must be aware of the type of park where they agree to stay. Look for quality amenities, dedicated ownership, and some local attractions which will surely make you stay more enjoyable.

RV parks offer recreational vehicle owners the chance to explore the vast uniqueness of our country while doing so relatively inexpensively. However, not all RV parks are created equal as some certainly offer more amenities for your dollar. The gap between your truly comfortable parks and those that simple offer the bare-bones is growing and you should be aware of what options are available before you choose a park. Everything from location to community organization and basic hookups (such as electric and water) needs to be taken into account before you commit to a park. With a little insider knowledge of the RV resort world, you can become somewhat of an expert and choose only the best parks out there.

Obviously, one of the most important factors to consider is location. An RV park must, above all, be convenient to get to which requires easy access to main roads and, possibly, an interstate. This being said, however, no one wants to park their recreational vehicle right next to a busy highway and consequently a good park is tucked away a little bit to offer you some peace and quiet. The surrounding area, likewise, should offer convenient and fun recreational opportunities some of which might include biking, museums, and other attractions. To this regard it’s really important to value the tranquility of the park itself rather than, say, opting for the cheapest option which tends to be located in less than ideal areas.

One should additionally consider the amenities their potential RV resort has to offer. Some parks charge extra fees to use restrooms or showers whereas some others actually do not have restrooms. Ideally, the park you consider offers free restrooms and immaculate showers. Additionally, a good modern RV park would offer free wi-fi internet access so that you don’t have to rely on coffee houses or other undependable options. Also consider whether or not the park has laundry facilities and other basic amenities.

Take a good look at the community as well. A RV resort’s landscaping actually implicitly shows the quality of the park and whether or not the owners continually reinvest for the sake of their tenants. Community clubhouses are additionally fantastic features that should give you an area to socialize, enjoy a communal meal, and participate and other activities. These features become increasingly important depending upon the length of your stay.

Furthermore, what would a RV park be without proper electrical and water hook-ups. It’s important to understand whether there’s additional fees for electric and water. As it pertains to electricity, ask the appropriate questions of the park managers to make sure that the electrical outlets the park provides is compatible with your RV rig.

With these factors considered, you will be much better equipped to select a RV park that meets your needs and provides the amenities of the 21st century. Not all RV resorts are created equal, but with a little knowledge you should be able to discern the first-class parks from the lesser ones.
