The Key to Traveling by RV: Amenities

Recreation Vehicle Parks and the Amenities they Offer

Recreation vehicles have been and remain a prominent form of transportation in order to vacation and see the vastness of our country. RVs give you the freedom to move about every so often and yet they also provide a standard of luxury that one would not get with camping. Of course, one typically cannot park there RV just anywhere. Most jurisdictions require that RV vehicles stay in designated RV parks. With a variety of parks to choose from, the RV owner just starting out doesn’t know the amenities that differentiate truly great parks from your run-of-the-mill parks. Amongst other things, a check list of amenities and conditions should help you stay in only the best RV parks America has to offer.

It may seem fairly obvious, but the first thing to check for it always the electric and water hookups. The vast majority of parks today have easily configured water and electric hookups to provide your RV with the basic amenities. Of course, this being the 21st Century, most RV owners expect more than simply water and electric. The most luxurious RV resorts will typically have free Wi-Fi and Cable. These amenities should keep you entertained no matter the season or weather.

One additionally has to pay attention to the actual quality of the park. Does the park exhibit beautiful landscaping? Is there a modern playground for your children? Is there a pool for when you are traveling in the summer? A truly world-class RV park will have all of these amenities in addition to laundry facilities, restroom/shower facilities, sports features (tennis court, basketball court) and more. Another thing to notice is whether or not the park managers live on-site.

While paying attention to the park itself is a must, the same can also be said about the exact location of the recreation vehicle park. Owning a RV gives you a freedom to see sites and parts of the country not normally visited. Consequently, the park should be located relatively close to attractions and, hopefully, a flourishing town. In addition to downtown shopping and restaurant options, there should be a pleathora of health care providers as well as RV service providers in the area.

Travelling around the country in your RV can be some of the greatest fun you and your family have and, yet, one must be aware of the type of park where they agree to stay. Look for quality amenities, dedicated ownership, and some local attractions which will surely make you stay more enjoyable.
